Season 4 premieres Friday, September 29 at 9 ET/PT
The fourth season of Amazon Studios’ Transparent debuts with two back-to-back episodes. This season, the family embarks on a spiritual and political journey as they dig deep into their family’s history. Rounding off our epic fall is Marvel’s Runaways. The 10-episode series follows a group of six diverse teenagers who can barely stand each other but who must unite against a common foe – their parents. Based on the Marvel comic books, the action series explores the younger side of the Marvel Universe in a coming of age action tale.

Showcase announces thrilling Fall schedule!

Today, Showcase announced the premiere dates for its show-stopping fall 2017 programming lineup.

Executive producer and star Jessica Biel kicks off the powerhouse schedule with thrilling new limited series The Sinner debuting Monday, August 21 at 10 p.m. E/P. Based on the international bestselling novel of the same name, the eight-episode thriller follows a young mother (Jessica Biel) who, when overcome by an inexplicable fit of rage, commits a startling act of violence and to her horror has no idea why. The event launches an inverted and utterly surprising crime thriller whose driving force is not the “who” or the “what” – but the “why.” An investigator (Bill Pullman) finds himself obsessed with uncovering the woman’s buried motive. Together, they travel a harrowing journey into the depths of her psyche and the violent secrets hidden in her past.

Also this fall, new buzzworthy series Marvel’s Runaways premieres Sunday, November 26 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The 10-episode series follows a group of six diverse teenagers who can barely stand each other but who must unite against a common foe – their parents. Based on the Marvel comic books, the action series explores the younger side of the Marvel Universe in a coming of age action tale.

Then, from acclaimed creator Jill Soloway comes the Canadian broadcast premiere of the fourth season of Amazon Studios’ Transparent, debuting Friday, September 29 at 9 p.m. ET/PT with two back-to-back episodes. The Golden Globe®-winning series follows the life of retired college professor and transgender woman Mort Pfefferman (Golden Globe-winner Jeffrey Tambor) who tells his family his lifelong secret that he will live openly as a woman named Maura. But as Maura starts anew, she can’t escape the messy lives of her three grown children and a larger-than-life ex-wife with challenges of her own. This season, the family embarks on a spiritual and political journey as they dig deep into their family’s history. Showcase’s slate of premium dramas continues this October with the season three premiere of critically-acclaimed hacker series, Mr. Robot. Starring Emmy®-winner Rami Malek and Golden Globe-winner Christian Slater, the edge-of-your-seat drama welcomes Emmy-winner Bobby Cannavale this season as Irving, a laconic, no-nonsense, used car salesman. BD Wong also returns as a series regular for his role as Whiterose, the leader of the Dark Army, a Chinese-based hacking organization.

Rounding out the schedule is a chilling new installment of the critically-acclaimed anthology, Channel Zero. This fall, the series continues with another terrifying viral internet tale. Eric McCormack talks season 2 of Travelers

At the recent Corus Upfronts, Eric McCormack sheds light on what it’s like to be acting as both Special agent Grant MacLaren in Travelers and Will in Will & Grace. Eric expresses that there has always been a gay and straight man inside of him, and this is the year he lets them both out.

Eric also reveals that he will be directing the last episode of Travelers, which is currently in production. Season 2 of Travelers picks up on the group’s haunting realization that their missions may have altered the future in ways they did not predict. Joining the new season is Enrico Colantoni.

Showcase has announced its 2017/2018 lineup!

Bolstering Showcase’s lineup is the captivating new fall series, The Sinner. Executive produced by and starring Jessica Biel, the series follows a young mother (Biel) who is overcome by an inexplicable fit of rage and commits a startling act of violence, and to her horror has no idea why.

Also coming soon to Showcase, is the gripping new scripted drama Absentia, which stars Canadian Stana Katic (Castle) as an FBI agent who disappears without a trace and is declared dead, only to be found barely alive six years later with no memory of the years that have passed, and soon finds herself implicated in a new series of murders.

As well, based on the comic book series, the all-new drama for 2018 is Marvel’s Runaways, the story of six diverse teenagers who can barely stand each other but who must unite against a common foe – their parents. Also finding a home on the network is the fourth season of the Golden Globe®-winning series Transparent 

Signature hits returning to Showcase this fall include: season two of Travelers, featuring an all-Canadian cast led by Eric McCormack and new this season, Enrico Colantoni; the third season of the suspenseful Golden Globe-winning hacker series Mr. Robot; and season three of Supergirl.

SUPERGIRL PRIZE PACK GIVEAWAY RULES

The following are the rules (“Rules”) for the SUPERGIRL prize pack giveaway (the “Giveaway”) being administered by Corus Sales Inc. (“Corus”).

1. ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for the Giveaway, entrants must be legal residents of Canada, excluding the province of Quebec and must be of the age of majority or older at the time of entry in their province or territory of residence. Employees of Corus and its affiliates, subsidiaries, related companies, advertising and promotional agencies, prize suppliers and the household members of any of the above, are not eligible to participate in the Giveaway.

2. GIVEAWAY PERIOD
The Giveaway shall run from Thursday, April 20, 2017 to Tuesday, May 16, 2017 (the “Giveaway Period”) after which time no further entries will be considered.

3. HOW TO ENTER
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter, entrants must complete and submit the online entry form located at https://showcasesupergirlgiveaway.rsvp360.co (the “Giveaway Website”).

Limit of one (1) entry per person during the Contest Period.

In the event of a dispute as to who submitted an electronic entry, the entry will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the entry. “Authorized account holder” of an e-mail address is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Any entrant may be required to provide Corus with proof that they are the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with their entry.

4. PRIZES
There are five (5) prizes (the “Prizes”) available to be won, each consisting of a SUPERGIRL T-Shirt, SUPERGIRL Season 1 Blu-ray and a SUPERGIRL Tote Bag. The approximate value of each Prize is forty-five dollars (CDN$45).

Corus reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if a Prize or any part thereof cannot be awarded for any reason. The Prizes are not transferable and not redeemable for cash, will not be extended under any circumstances and must be accepted as offered without substitution. Winners will be responsible for any expense not explicitly included in the Prize.

Prizes will be distributed within ten (10) business days after each winner has been successfully contacted and fulfilled the requirements set out herein. Corus shall not assume any liability for a lost, damaged or misdirected Prize.

5. SELECTION OF WINNERS
Upon completion of the Giveaway Period, in Toronto, ON, five (5) entrants will be selected by a random draw from all eligible entries received during the Giveaway Period.

Each selected entrant will be notified by e-mail within five (5) business days after the end of the Giveaway Period. The selected entrants must respond to the notification within three (3) business days. If a selected entrant does not respond in the allotted time, he/she will be disqualified and will not receive a Prize and another entrant may be randomly selected from the pool of eligible entries in Corus’ sole discretion. Corus shall be in no way responsible for the failure, for any reason whatsoever, of a selected entrant to receive notification or for Corus’ failure to receive a selected entrant’s response.

The odds of being selected as a potential winner are dependent upon the number of eligible entries received by Corus during the Giveaway Period. Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant(s) will be required to: (i) correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question to be administered during a pre-arranged telephone call or by e-mail; (ii) comply with the Rules; and (iii) may be required to sign and return the Release (described below).

6. RELEASE
The winner(s) may be required to execute a winner release form (“Release”), as determined by Corus in its sole discretion, that confirms winner’s: (i) eligibility for the Giveaway; (ii) acceptance of the Prize as offered; (iii) release of Corus and its respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates and/or related companies and each of their employees, directors, officers, suppliers, agents, sponsors, administrators, licensees, representatives, advertising, media buying and promotional agencies and prize suppliers (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damages, cost or expense arising out of participation in the Giveaway or the acceptance, use, or misuse of the Prize, including but not limited to costs, injuries, losses related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light, or from any and all claims of third parties arising therefrom; and (iv) grants to Corus of the unrestricted right, in Corus’ sole discretion, to produce, reproduce, publish, broadcast, communicate by telecommunication, exhibit, distribute, adapt and otherwise use or re-use the winner’s name, image, likeness, voice and biography, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, in connection with the Giveaway and the promotion and exploitation thereof. The executed Release must be returned within two (2) business days of the date indicated on the accompanying letter of notification or the verification as a winner or the selected entrant will be disqualified and the Prize forfeited.

7. PRIVACY / USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION.
By participating in the Giveaway, each entrant: (i) grants to Corus the right to use his/her name, mailing address, age of majority confirmation, telephone number and/or e-mail address (collectively the “Personal Information”) for the purpose of administering the Giveaway, including but not limited to contacting and announcing the Winners and coordinating the provision of the Prizes; (ii) grants to Corus the right to use his/her Personal Information for publicity and promotional purposes relating to the Giveaway, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, without further compensation unless prohibited by law; and (iii) acknowledges that Corus may disclose his/her Personal Information to third-party agents and service providers of Corus in connection with any of the activities listed in (i) and (ii) above.

8. GENERAL
By participating in the Giveaway, each entrant:

Enrico Colantoni joins season 2 of Travelers!

Showcase announced today that Enrico Colantoni (Remedy, Person of Interest, Veronica Mars) will join Season 2 of the time-travelling sci-fi drama series Travelers. Colantoni will play the character Vincent, a mysterious individual who may or may not be a friend of the travelers.

With production now underway in Vancouver, Colantoni broke the news from the Travelers set with series star Eric McCormack. Stephen Lobo (Continuum) will appear as a recurring character and Amanda Tapping (Sanctuary) will return to direct multiple episodes and guest star.
